Taken from the Grant Dude Update.
The bodies of
Daniel Shersty, 20 and Lin "Spit" Newborn, 25 - both members
of Anti-Racist Action and Las Vegas
Unity Skins (and avid ska fans) - were
found in the desert outside of
Las Vegas two days apart this past weekend.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal,
the two young men may have been
lured to what they thought was
a party in the
desert. Instead, they were
found beaten with bootprints on their bodies
and bullet wounds in the stomach.
No one has been arrested in connection to
these murders, but it is strongly
believed that nazi skinheads
("boneheads") were involved, as
both Dan and Spit were known as outspoken
anti-racist skins and have been
opponents of local bonehead groups for years.
Moon will feature a more in-depth article covering this tragedy in the
next issue of the Skazette. All
of us here sincerely send our condolences
to the families and friends of
these victims, and we will be setting up a
memorial fund for their families...
